For the March issue of Wallpaper magazine, Anuschka Blommers and Niels Schumm created the series Nomad’s Land. They were responsible for the fashion shoot as well as the cover image. The photographs show how you can set up camp in style, with Robert Storey being responsible for the set design. Fashion was provided by Domestic Dust.

The cover of Het Parool’s PS van de Week was graced by a photograph Sabrina Bongiovanni took of Maxim Hartman. She was responsible for the photography accompanying the interview with him as well. Maxim is appropriately dressed as a silly Don Juan with cowboy boots, banana guns and a dressing gown, talking about his love for women (not one in particular).

New Shoes by Ingmar

Kinner is a sports brand from Italy. For their spring/summer 2012 collection, Ingmar Swalue was asked to do the photography. The assignment was to create images using the concept of ‘fallen angels. These crispy fresh images can be found on the brand new Kinner website and the collection book. The complete slideshow is also visible here on the Solar website.

Nightstand altars

Jaap Scheeren was asked to create images around an article about dildos. The article appeared in this year’s first issue of Das Magazin, a Swiss newspaper supplement added to four different newspapers in the weekends. Not only was Jaap responsible for the cover image, his photographs also fit in perfectly with the article. The dildos in the photographs all sit majestically in their nightstands, alone or accompanied by some suggestive vegetables.

Merry Christmas?

For the Christmas cover of VRPO magazine, Krista van der Niet was asked to create a Christmas-related image.

She made a Christmas tree with a single ornament: a grenade. The grenade symbolises the feelings of stress and tension Christmas time can bring, as opposed to the cliché images you often see this time of year. Also, it stands for the troubled times and wars going on in various places in the world.

Serge Lutens Cityscape

In the column ‘Object of Desire’, creatives cleverly reinterpret AnOther Magazine’s most desired objects of the season. This time, AnOther Magazine has asked Yvonne Lacet to create an image using the make-up line by Serge Lutens. The result is a beautiful, urban landscape built with paper and items from Lutens’s collection. The products Lutens has created are quite heavy, which creates an interesting contrast with the lightness of the paper.

Seat 1A

Qiu Yang took this photograph for NRC DeLuxe. It features architect Rem Koolhaas’s most effective workplace: seat 1A on an Airbus. Because generic, unpleasant surroundings make Koolhaas concentrate, he enjoys working in airplanes, airports and hotels. The photograph shows all the things he uses while working ‘on the road’.

Sabrina Bongiovanni created the campaign image for LAAEL, a new bag brand. For every new collection, Sabrina will be responsible for the photography. The assignment is to create an abstract image of a model with a bag every season.
LAAEL has been around for 1,5 years and the bags are designed by Elja Lintsen. Check the site for more images by Sabrina for the Fall/Winter 2011-2012 season.

Hans Brinker says sorry

For the fortieth anniversary of Hans Brinker budget hotels, KesselsKramer asked Qiu Yang to create some images for a hotel fair in Barcelona.
At Hans Brinker, ‘budget’ is even cheaper than you would expect from a cheap hotel. The campaign is an apology for the typical Hans Brinker treatment one can expect in the hotel.
Qiu Yang created 4 images with a strong message of how guests are welcomed at Hans Brinker. All 4 of the images can be seen on Ads of the World.

Sabrina Bongiovanni for Binger Filmlab

Sabrina Bongiovanni created a series of images for Binger Filmlab in Amsterdam. This was commissioned by KesselsKramer who was responsible for the restyling of the Binger Filmlab website. The assignment was to create pictures with a cinematic feel. The result is a set of colourful photographs with a mysterious twist. During the Dutch Film Festival, these images can be seen on posters around the festival area in Utrecht. Have a look at the series in the slideshow.
