Anuschka Blommers & Niels Schumm
Anuschka Blommers and Niels Schumm are awarded in Germany for the prestigious print media award, “The Lead Awards 09″. This annual prize is one of the most wanted prizes in Germany and is considered the Oscar for print media, advertising and photography. In the category “Mood and fashion photography” Blommers Schumm were rewarded with a silver award, for their series „Yves Saint Laurent” in German fashion glossy “Mode Depesche”, no.8. The pictures have a surreal “trompe’d'oeil” effect, and are a strong example of their ‘nonconformist’ photography style. Other awarded photographers were Steven Meisel (gold award) and Nan Goldin (bronze award).
